George E. Pringle

End of Watch

December 28, 1940

Patrol Inspector Pringle was working alone in the vicinity of Parker, Arizona, when he began following a car known as belonging to a group of aliens suspected of illegal activities in connection with the Parker Dam.  Witnesses indicated his government vehicle veered toward the center of the road when the vehicle in which the aliens were riding passed in the opposite direction. Swerving to avoid a collision, inspector Pringle’s vehicle overturned two or three times before coming to rest.  Inspector Pringle died of multiple injuries including contusions and fracture of the skull.
