The Border Patrol Foundation (BPF) is pleased to announce that Chartis Federal has become a National Partner of the Foundation.
“Chartis has been proud to support the Foundation’s tremendous efforts over the last five years. We work closely with Border Patrol agents across the country and appreciate the dangers they endure to keep our country safe. This national partnership reflects our commitment to help BPF sustain the meaningful services they provide for Border Patrol families in the years to come” said Brian Creswick, Chief Operations Officer at Chartis.
“We are grateful for the support and honored that Chartis has joined our National Partnership Program in support of the men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol. It is with the amazing support of our dedicated Partners that we can continue this path of honoring the memory and supporting the families.”, says Ron Colburn, President- Border Patrol Foundation
BPF is also excited to share that in addition to their National Partnership commitment, Chartis has made a very generous $9,000 donation to the upcoming 2018-2019 BPF Scholarship Program. Earlier this year, BPF awarded $68,500 in scholarships to children of fallen and active duty Border Patrol Agents. “The rising cost of higher education in the U.S. is making it difficult for many to earn a degree without crippling financial debt. We are impressed with the Foundation’s scholarship program and what it does to offset these costs for Border Patrol families, and particularly for the children of fallen agents. Chartis hopes our donation will play a small part in helping these kids pursue their dreams” said Creswick.
When a surviving child of a fallen agent graduates high school BPF will provide a scholarship toward their education in the amount of $7,500. The remaining funds are then awarded competitively to the children of active duty and retired Border Patrol Agents as well as active members of the BP Explorers Program. “BPF relies very heavily on the donations and generosity of companies like Chartis to fund and grow the scholarship program. Large donations such as this go a very long way to ensuring that more children are given the opportunity to continue their education. We are truly grateful for this amazing support and know it will make an immeasurable difference in our upcoming scholarship awards” said Shannon Staples, BPF Executive Director. The BPF Scholarship program will open in November 2018.
