Senior Patrol Agent Luis Aguilar
End of Watch January 19, 2008
Agent Aguilar died in the line of duty after being struck by a vehicle driven by a suspected narcotics smuggler in the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area near Andrade, California.

Senior Patrol Agent Jefferson Barr
End of Watch January 19, 1996
Agent Barr died in the line of duty after being shot in the apprehension of four suspected drug smugglers along the Rio Grande River a 2 ½ miles from the Eagle Pass Port-of-Entry.

Senior Patrol Agent Rene B. Garza
End of Watch January 20, 1999
Agent Garza died of a heart attack in the line of duty while conducting surveillance on horseback 75 miles southwest of Lordsburg, New Mexico. Geographical isolation contributed to his death.

Border Patrol Agent Eloy Hernandez
End of Watch January 17, 2002
Agent Eloy Hernandez was killed in an automobile accident while on patrol near Progesso, Texas, and assigned to the Mercedes, Texas Station.

Inspector William McCalib
End of Watch January 7, 1930
Inspector McCalib was shot by an escaped convict being held as an alien unlawfully in the United States. During the absence of the Senior Patrol Inspector, McCalib was shot in the head by the suspect in the rear vehicle seat.

Border Patrol Agent Jose A. Nava
End of Watch January 7, 1995
Agent Nava was en route to conduct a train inspection east of Del Rio, Texas, when his vehicle struck a deer, rolled and his body was thrown from the vehicle.

Border Patrol Agent Manuel Salcido, Jr.
End of Watch January 2, 1985
Agent Manuel Salcido, Jr. was traveling in a seized 1975 Ford sedan when it went out of control on an icy concrete bridge en route to the Del Rio Sector Headquarters and was struck broadside by an oncoming vehicle. 

Patrol Inspector William L. Sills
End of Watch January 17, 1940
Inspector William L. Sills was shot and killed while on night patrol duty at a Rio Grande River crossing in the vicinity of La Grulla, Texas. He and two other Inspectors encountered three smugglers in the act of smuggling contraband.

Border Patrol Agent Aurelio E. Valencia
End of Watch January 25, 1996
Agent Aurelio E. Valencia was involved in a vehicle accident near Glamis, California when turning to investigate a suspected smuggling vehicle parked south of a checkpoint, his Service vehicle was struck broadside by a southbound motorist and died at the scene.
